Discover Nanjing City

Nanjing offers one of China’s richest historic city experiences, combining ancient capital heritage, city walls, lakes, tree-lined avenues, museums, memorial sites, temples, riverside views, universities, food, and a more relaxed atmosphere than Shanghai. As a former capital, Nanjing has a deep historical identity and a strong cultural presence.

A visit can include the Ming City Wall, Xuanwu Lake, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Confucius Temple area, museums, old neighborhoods, local duck dishes, and riverside walks. The best time to visit is March to May or September to November, when the weather is comfortable and the city is especially pleasant for walking.
