Discover Hulunbuir

Hulunbuir offers one of China’s most classic grassland travel experiences, combining endless plains, rivers, horses, yurts, forests, wetlands, border towns, Mongolian culture, and some of the country’s most open northern landscapes. Located in Inner Mongolia, it is especially known for summer grasslands and scenic drives through vast open spaces.

A visit can include grassland drives, horse riding, yurt stays, local Mongolian food, Erguna wetlands, border towns such as Manzhouli, forest routes near the Greater Khingan Range, and sunset photography across the plains. The best time to visit is June to September, when the grasslands are green and outdoor travel is most comfortable. Hulunbuir works well with Hailar, Manzhouli, Arxan, Erguna, Mohe, and wider Inner Mongolia and northeast routes.
