Discover Guilin

Guilin offers one of China’s most classic natural landscape experiences, combining karst mountains, rivers, caves, rice terraces, countryside villages, bamboo rafts, and some of the country’s most recognizable scenery. The landscape around Guilin and Yangshuo is known for its soft limestone peaks and river views that have inspired Chinese painting and poetry for centuries.

A visit can include a Li River cruise, exploring Yangshuo, cycling through countryside roads, visiting Reed Flute Cave, seeing Longji Rice Terraces, taking bamboo raft rides, and enjoying local food. The best time to visit is April to June or September to October, when the scenery is green and the weather is more comfortable. Guilin works well with Yangshuo, Longji Rice Terraces, Sanjiang, Zhaoxing, Guangzhou, and other southern China routes.
