Discover Zhagana

Zhagana offers one of Gansu’s most beautiful hidden mountain village landscapes, combining stone peaks, Tibetan villages, grasslands, forests, hiking routes, morning mist, and a peaceful highland atmosphere. Located in Gannan, it feels very different from both desert Gansu and big-city China.

A visit can include village walks, sunrise viewpoints, short hikes, Tibetan cultural experiences, grassland scenery, and photography of mountain-ringed settlements. The best time to visit is June to September, when the grasslands are green and the weather is more suitable for outdoor routes. Zhagana works well with Labrang Monastery, Xiahe, Langmusi, Lanzhou, Songpan, and western Sichuan or Gannan routes.
