Fanjingshan offers one of China’s most distinctive sacred mountain and biodiversity travel experiences, combining steep peaks, cloud forests, temples, red rock summits, rare wildlife, and dramatic high-altitude scenery. Located in Guizhou, it is known for its unusual twin temple summit, misty forests, and a landscape that feels both spiritual and wild.

A visit can include taking the cable car, hiking mountain trails, visiting summit temples, seeing cloud views, walking through forest paths, and photographing the famous Red Clouds Golden Summit. The best time to visit is April to October, with spring and autumn especially comfortable for mountain travel. Fanjingshan works well with Tongren, Zhenyuan, Xijiang Miao Village, Kaili, Guiyang, and wider Guizhou routes.
