Discover Zhenyuan

Zhenyuan offers one of Guizhou’s most atmospheric old-town river experiences, combining ancient streets, bridges, temples, mountains, riverside houses, night views, local food, and a calmer pace than larger tourist cities. Built along the Wuyang River, it is especially attractive for slow walking and photography.

A visit can include walking the old town, enjoying riverside views, visiting temples and historic buildings, trying Guizhou food, seeing illuminated night scenery, and exploring nearby natural areas. The best time to visit is April to October, with spring and autumn especially comfortable. Zhenyuan works well with Kaili, Xijiang Miao Village, Guiyang, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo, and wider Guizhou routes.
