Discover Jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhaigou offers one of China’s most beautiful alpine nature experiences, combining turquoise lakes, waterfalls, forests, snow peaks, Tibetan and Qiang cultural elements, and colorful seasonal scenery. Located in northern Sichuan, it is especially known for clear multi-colored lakes and dramatic valley landscapes.

A visit can include walking along boardwalks between lakes and waterfalls, photographing autumn colors, seeing snow-capped mountains, and experiencing the highland atmosphere of northern Sichuan. The best time to visit is September to October for autumn colors, while spring and early summer are also good for green scenery and waterfalls. Jiuzhaigou works well with nearby destinations such as Huanglong, Songpan, Chengdu, Mount Emei, Leshan, and western Sichuan routes.
